I went to the Countryside forum today. A good amount of concerned owners were in attendance. A lot of great questions were asked and the Master Board did their best to comply. Although I don't agree with some of their answers and the way my representative from Country Haven was treated. I think it's always healthy to "agree to dis-agree" It seems that when a person doesn't agree with the majority, he or she is labeled as a threat to the status quo.
A point of information: Around 80% of the dwellings in Countryside are under the Florida Statute 718. I would venture to say that Fl. Statute 718 says that all Capital Improvements over $5.000 HAVE TO BE VOTED ON BY 2/3RD'S OF THE OWNERS.
Around 20% of the owners at Countryside (House Owners) and the club are under the Fl. Statue 720. That, according to the Master Board can be voted differently. A "futures fund "for Capitol improvements eliminating any votes by the owners.
There in point lies the confusion....
For the record, I think Countryside is one of the nicest places in Southwest Florida..and the majority of people are awesome. I appreciate all the people who get involved and spend their time on the Master Board and the committees.
I appreciate the efforts by my Country Haven representative, Ms. Paratore . Thank You so much Becki.
Finally, It's time to stop labeling "A & B"..... "Golf member and Social member". We are all in this together, lets all come together as ONE community...
Sincerely
