I would like to add to Robert's information on the Radio Road MSTU.

422 Countryside Drive tax bill states the Radio MSTU proposed tax for this year is to be $!74.25 and in 2008 was $150.13. When you think of all the number of properties in Countryside, Berkshire Lakes, Glen Eagle, and Fox Fire that are also contributing similar funds for the Radio Road MSTU (with NO SUNSET PROVISION or thought of lowering costs to just maintain the Radio Road median), you wonder whose pockets are being filled. Then, I guess it because we are East Naples and all the landscaping in mid and North Naples is paid for by the County. I believe all the MSTUs for Collier County which number about 4 or 5 are in East Naples and Golden Gate areas.

My husband and I strongly oppose Countryside setting up an MSTU for Davis Blvd.

Davis Blvd was widened from Airport-Pulling EASTWARD to Santa Barbara Blvd in late 1990s. At that time, the County was asked by the State to provide landscaping on the section of the State Road 84 that was widened. However, the County made a decision when they decided to enhance the median on this stretch of Davis, at the County's expense, to end the enhancements (curbing, lighting, grass, trees, shrubery, & water) at County Barn Road. The reason given was eventually they planned to widen Santa Barbara and they did not want to have to redo landscaping. Now 10 years has passed and Santa Barbara has been widened and we did get lighting, grass, curbing, & water between our entrance gate and Santa Barbara Blvd but not between our entrance gate and the County Barn Road intersection.

The County should have included landscaping IN THE SANTA BARBARA BLVD WIDENING CONTRACT for the complete section of Davis Blvd, State Road 84, from Santa Barbara Blvd up to County Barn Road.

Fox Fire GCC and Glen Eagle GCC were provided landscaping & lighting for Davis Blvd, State Road 84, by the County and now the County expects Countryside GCC and perhaps Falling Water Community to set up an MSTU for a short segment of Davis Blvd that the County neglected to landscape. Countryside is already paying heftily for the Radio Road MSTU and we should not enter into another MSTU.
