There are some of us that bought into the social area because we liked the club and the nice surroundings. We understood that we had no golf equity. When we bought in here at Country Haven we didn't have to pay over $22,000 collectively as a social class @ year for the Golf Driving Range. Those few of us that used the Golf driving range went to the pro shop and purchased tokens to hit balls. Then in 2005 in the middle of summer, a majority of the master board changed the golf driving range system to charging everyone an annual fee for the range. They called it an ammenity. It seemed that the reciprocals didn't like coming to our Golf course and having to pay to hit balls on the Golf Driving Range. Then to add insult to injury they advertised "Free Golf Driving Range" in the Countryside monthly paper. I don't know about you, but I think that was pretty underhanded.
When some of us come to the meetings to state our concerns and ask questions in a "proper way", that maybe go against the majority, we shouldn't be labled complainers or trouble makers. All we are doing is trying to make the playing field a little fairer for ALL.
I question the leagality of this change and would like to settle this issue once and for all with an "independent" opinion from an outside attorney.
As I have said before Countryside is a great place to live. I have been here since 1992 and plan to stay here as long as I can Sincerely--------C.H.
