After the last hurricane, I received a letter from my insurance company informing me that they were not going to renew my homeowners insurance, I was paying $1,600 per year. At that time, many people had received the same letter and when I inquired, my agent told me that he had received the same letter as the company was going to stop writing homeowners insurance in Florida but would keep writing insurance for car's. Well my agent did provide me with another insurance company and my insurance jumped to $4,500 per year. I kept the same insurance for a year and a half. On Monday, I was speaking with my cousin, who was in the same situation with the same insurance company and had gone to another Insurance Agency and her insurance cost was cut in half. On Tuesday, I went to the same Insurance Agency and my insurance went from $4,500 to just under $1,600, with the same coverage. The company is Carr & Associates, LLC 4735 Santa Barbara Blvd, Naples 348-3555.
