I recently found out that $70.00 is being charged annually to all the owners in Countryside for the Golf Driving Range. It's applied to the maintenance fee we all pay on the first of October every year. The reason given to me is that the Golf Driving Range is an ammenity, like the tennis courts and the workout room and the main pool. A few years back when they "changed "it all, I was told that we were to have "a free driving range privilage for all owners" (at a cost of $30.00 annually). Now it's $70.00 a year.
The social class has no Golf equity, but yet we are being charged around $20 "K" collectivly a year. I believe that the few Social members that use the Golf Driving Range should be put back on the token system and the majority of the Social member won't be charged unfairly for this amenity that most don't use.
This change to an amenity was done a few years back, just before they decided to put bigger and more exspensive additions to the Golf Driving Range so that "everyone would pay for it all. I would be interested to know just how many Social members use the driving Range? Perhaps the Social member could have contests amongst ourselves on the Golf Driving Range????
