I attended the Master Board Meeting today at the club. There was some spirited discussions about` owners' rights to use the facilities when they rent to renters. In other words an owner at the meeting wanted the right to use the golf and the restaurant when they rented providing that the renters signed off on both the golf and the restaurant privildges. Sounds perfectly right to me. You know "cash flow". sounds like a win win for the club. The subject was postponed until the next meeting because there was a problem with the documents. There seemed to be a problem with the word "May". The meaning of the word was hashed around by some on the board, but for the record I believe one of the meanings of the word may is as follows: to express possibility, oppportunity, or permission. In our docs it states that the owners "may" give this permission. It seems to me that some of our Master Board members are against "Change". A few examples: term limits, changing the audit company that we have had forever, letting the golfers that don't or can't use their golf the right to lease their golf to a social member annually. There seems to be a few Master Board members that always put up road blocks to change. I believe change, if done in a construtve way, is very good for our club.
