I know that I have read every entry that has been submitted to the blog and yours is by far the most condescending comment I have ever read. You must be one of these people that own a bigger share of this community and that gives your the right to tell people how to get their exercise. There seems to be too many people these days who simply will not listen to reason and common sense. It is truly amazing to me as to how many people walk around in this world thinking their version of reality is the only one that exists. This also holds true for the ONE person in this community who is so offended by the clothes that people wear that he has taken it upon HIMSELF to initiate a campaign to DICTATE the style of clothes we wear in this community. I have been informed that a mailing will go out informing all members of the dress code which says patch pockets are not allowed. What will this mailing cost and for what reason? I was told by people in the pro shop that "a lot of people" have been refused play on the course because of their dress. How much has this cost the club and just maybe this factored into the increase of our annual fees.

We don't need more rules - we need less rules. And we certainly don't need anyboby to tell us how we should get our exercise and I, and others, don't need someone to tell us that shorts sold at all the golf apparel shops and in catalogs, are not accepted at a club where all of us are on the same playing field and trying to enjoy our retirement. Come on, get off your high horse and start enjoying living in a community that each of us loves. Goodness, the next thing you know is that someone will be trying to outlaw those of us who have a gut hanging one or two inches over the belt.
