Boy scouts, girl scouts or anyone selling things or soliciting in Countryside is against the rules. If the scouts get away with selling things, good luck to them. The sympathetic grandparent (smiling Nana) who will do anything for the children knows better. It’s like seat belts for children. Tell them to follow the rules or don’t ride. No apology needed. The GM did the right thing. The boy scout oath was not quoted correctly or maybe it was. It’s been so long and I get confused with boy scout and cub scout oaths. I do remember one. It’s a scout is helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, reverent-----obedient, submissive to the restraint or command of authority. I think this is what they stand for but is not an oath. They learn this at home. Have a nice day.
