Let's see -- A manager by his designation "manages". A good manager delegates authority to people under his control. A manager has many other functions to attend to in their job and so does not have time to monitor the DRESS CODE of members and guests in the clubhouse or on the golf course. Therefore, they "delegate" this responsibility to their staff.
Now -- if a member or guest does not agree with the established DRESS CODE and chooses to wear the non-approved type of clothing then the staff has a right AND duty to inform them of such non-compliance. I have witnessed this interaction between staff and non-complier and it is always done with tact and pleasantness. They do not attempt to belittle anyone.
The DRESS CODE is for ALL members and guests. Should any of them not wish to comply then there are many other places in Naples where they can go and dress in jeans with a hat on backwards.
So you see, the solution is PLAIN AND SIMPLE -- abide by the DRESS CODE. And let the staff do their jobs.
