Let's see For 20 years we had brown wooden mailboxes that we could individually buy install and paint but we had to install them at precisely 42" above the road grade. We could make sensible modifications such as small flags, xmas hats and reflectors. Nobody cared if birds purched etc. Now we have infected our consistent look with new green boxes that are installed at varying heights (I've measured 41" to 47") the architectural committee doesn't appear to care but no modifications can be made ie reflectors etc except a screw and 22 gauge wire to make the birds go away. WOW what a committee!!!!!!!!!!!! Only at Countryside !!!! Right on Marlene MnB
