The board has decided to send the term limit issue to the presidents council to be studied. It means another delay addressing this issue, almost 2 years since I started the proposal.
The survey showed that 52% want limits on the Master Board-that is a mandate. The real question is, do the members want two-two year term limits or two-three year limits? Some board members show concern about not getting members to run for the board. There is a possibility of this but should not cloud the issue. The responsibility for representation is that of the areas concerned. Limits will
help with this situation.
A 2 year term, upon approval could be implemented immediately. We presently elect 5 members at a time every two years @ 4 members the next election for 2 years. If approved after two consecutive 2 year term a member must vacate but may seek election to the board after 2 years.

If you are looking at 2-3year terms the community must be equally divided into three classes-3 areas to a class.
After the first election;
Class one will serve one year and vacate.
Class two would serve two years and vacate.
Class three would serve three years and vacate.

Thereafter, one-third (1/3) of the Master Board will be chosen every year. During the start up process class 1 @ 2 would be considered serving a full term even though they served 1 @ 2 years respectively.

Now the question is, do you want 2-2year terms or 2-3year terms? It is up to you. A simple response to the blog-Yes -2 or Yes 2-3.
