There is a posting on Countryside Web site that our General Manager Cliff Verderber has resigned today. I am not sure what the Master Board is going to do to find a replacement for Cliff. I hope they will not violate the articles of Countryside and appoint a member of the Master Board as interim GM, as they did before. The articles clearly state that J. D. Varon, our Golf Course Superintendent takes over as General Manager as he has done previously when we did not have a General Manager. In fact if I remember correctly, the board compensated J. D. for the extra time he spent in this position. The last time we had a General Manager leave, the Master Board appointed the president of the Master Board as interim General manager and their reason was that J. D. Varon was to busy to assume the extra duties, this was wrong.
