WRITE IN VOTERS:

I have just heard that some areas do not have any one running for the Master Board thus there will be no election in those areas and no ballots will be mailed out, who made this decision.? If there is no election then the present member holding that position is out of office as he/she did not get one vote. Folks have you ever gone to vote and seen only one name on the ballot for a certain positions, well that is done so people can be elected to that office, it only takes one vote but it is an election. Guess what has been left out, you got it write in candidates. The Board has taken away your choice for a write in candidate and that is not DEMOCRACY or the American way. I understand that the club does send out letters stating that there was only one person who filed for the position, thus no election would be held. WRONG WRONG WRONG.
Again a certain few do as they please and we pay the price, we are tired of being under the rule of a few. We do have constitutional rights and in case you are not informed, there are Roberts Rules of Order. The board says they follow Roberts Rules of Order, with what this person knows of Roberts Rules they are not following them.

The letter sent out by the Master Board Secretary has the closing date for nomination's as a candidate must be completed and returned to the General Manager at the Administration Office either in person or postmarked not later than January 19, 2008.

Did the Secretary know that January 19, 2008 was a Saturday and the office is closed and the GM is not around and in order to have it postmarked not later than January 19, you would have had to be at the post office before noon as they close.

I do hope that this new board is better than the last one and uses common sense. GOOD LUCK, we are all going to need it.
