Vic Carder is leaving, and the replacement process is surely cranking up. We suggest Countryside seriously consider our current assistant golf professional, Greg Long, for the job. He has done a good job for the past year, and is popular with most of the members we have talked to, both men and women. He is, of course, familiar with the job of Head Golf Professional. The period of on-the-job training for a candidate from the outside would be unnecessary, so transition problems would be minimal. And a lot can be said of the benefits of promoting from within. We hope the Countrysiders involved in choosing our next Head Golf Professional give Greg Long fair and serious consideration. Mary + Stan Woolven
