How many people actually read here at countryside? Many posts seem to be asked and answered repeatedly (see communications director posts). How about we the members take some time to read the Florida statutes that we all seem to mention, or at least hire someone that could read them for us (lawyer). I’ve taken the time to read through the Florida hoa (remember we are an hoa and condo) statutes on the internets and there is no where that says an association has to take a vote to do a capital improvement. Our Countryside documents (which I hope we all read) only require us to take a vote if the capital improvement requires a special assessment. Instead of quickly passing judgement, lets all please spend more time reading.

I don't know why you are trying to discourage members, I personally have seen communication that said a vote was needed for capital improvement, I am not a lawyer but I think were there is smoke there is fire. I'm not qualified to give legal opinion so I think it makes sense to hire a outside lawyer and stop all the finger pointing. There are people that want to hire a lawyer depending on boards response, and if they are going to change the way they have been doing business.. So you insult all these people because what you have said is gospel. So you are telling everybody " THE" BOARD can do anything they want.
I'm not buying it, or you words of discouragement and neither will anybody else.
