TERM LIMITS ---Countryside GCC needs term limits on Board Members. I recommend 2 consecutive terms and then one must be off for at least one term. The Board should be responsible for governing itself and installing the term limit conditions. If not, a grass roots community action committee should be established to gather signatures on a petition to make the current Board takes up this action.. Term limits are also needed on Committee Chairpersons. However, since the Committee Chairpersons sit at the pleasure of the President, putting in term limits on Board members may take care of this problem.

COUNTRYSIDE COMMITTEES - Has anyone noticed that Countryside has 9 Committee Chairpersons sitting at the pleasure of the President of which 4 Committees are chaired by 2 families! I believe, only one member of a family should be permitted to serve as head of a committee. And, if one looks at the composition of members of the Committees, many husbands and wives are serving on more than one committee. The same small group of persons have been either chairing a committee or a committee member for a number of years.. Nepotism comes to mind. It seems Countryside is being run by a small click and newcomers are not welcome or wanted. I can speak for myself and my husband. We have applied to more than 6 committees over a number of years and each time we have not been given the opportunity to serve. Recommend that the Board be notified each time a community member volunteers to serve on a committee and is turned down. The volunteering member should have the right to ask the Board to review the request and have the power to over-ride the committee chairperson
