Not to diminish the efforts of some, but in the future I hope we will learn by our mistakes. When we need a contractor, we should always have the contractor pull a permit. Check to see if he has workermens comp. insurance, check the licensing board in the county to see if he is in good standing. Countryside is the "responsible" party to make sure a permit is pulled, not the contractor.
