Did you know:
1. The Countryside Real Estate Office has moved to Cedar Hammock as of Oct. 4, 2007? The Real Estate Office had been using the same street address as the Club's management office (600 Countryside Drive)? The Real Estate office had been getting the delivered US mail and separating it out and delivering the mail to the management office? The Master Board has been aware of this for several years and condoned this practice? I personally think this was an illegal practice as the Club office receives many checks and also "legal" ballots during the annual elections. I believe this practice should not continue should the Master Board decide to rent the space to another outside firm.
2. Received a call today from one of our snowbirds requesting that I look into why her pool service company was denied access in Countryside. According to the Club's office, companies doing regular business in Countryside can no longer be put on one's master guest list. These companies must apply for a scanning sticker at a cost of over $30.
3. Did you know that the Club's TV channel is still not operational after more than a month?
4. Did you know the Club's web site has no mention of any of the above information?
It appears that we have a Board of directors that is now a CLOSED society. Who neither ask for member input nor communicate to members what is going on in our community. Also, the committees all seem to have full membership with no volunteers needed.
ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME WE HAD A GENERAL TURNOVER IN OUR NEXT ELECTION COMING UP IN JANUARY. THE ONLY WAY WE CAN GET A TURNOVER IS IF WE INSTALL TERM LIMITS. We need a grass roots committee to get a petition together to survey each condo building and single family home. If we get enough signatures, we can force the Master Board to take action or the alternative would be to have a recall of the entire Master Board.
