Wed, 05 Sep 2007 13:58:47 -0400Subject: This is just what Countryside needs. We just have to have a place where we can express our concerns and thoughts. As an example, our concern is that we were told last May by our representative to the board, that the new mailboxes for homeowners was a dead issue. Then in early July we get a mailing telling us that we had to vote on the new mailbox and that if we did not send in our vote by a certain date, it would be considered a yes vote. No discussion; no alternative - nothing. The majority of the homeowners are gone during the summer so there was no chance to get together to bring about a satisfactory solution to this issue. Not the way democracy works. This web site can assist everyone in bringing issues to the forefront for logical and reasonable discussion. It would be our hope that everyone would use it responsibly.It is also my understanding that the developers of this site incurred costs in the $700.00 range. Do you suppose it would be possible that there would be 28 people in the community that would donate $25.00 each to reimburse the developers? Our $25.00 has been donated.
