The following arithmetic was done from the letter our General Manager sent us all in August 2007 regarding the budget for 2007/2008.
Did you know that within the budget the Annual Maintenance Fee for all of us is subsidizing the Resturant Operations here at Countryside $478,147. That's $422 for each of the 1133 member households. That does not include the $500 minimum all households are expected to pay in addition. The subsidy amounts to a 49% shortfall in revenue. By comparison Foxfire's shortfall is in the range of 32% without any minimum and the average for all country clubs is 34%. Does anybody care? I do. I think we either have a ship without a rutter and a helmsman, a board majority that needs replacement or the budget has been padded. We are overdue for explanations and/or new blood
ps Foxfire menu prices are lower than Countryside
